About this Artwork
This work deals with how popular culture, the media and society regulate and mediate women’s understanding of their own feminine identities. I am imaging the journey young women take as they negotiate their relationship with feminism and their confrontation with the gap between the reality of their experiences and the ideology of their expectations.
