About this Artwork
Tim Williams’ creative imagination is populated by heroes and villains from films and books. He draws inspiration from subjects such as the ‘Phantom’ and ‘Aladdin’, as well as the wild animals of Africa. His work is characterised by a strong and complex linear structure, creating both form and depth. The device of incorporating photographic source material into the work itself provides us with a fascinating window into Williams’ process and vision.
