About this Artwork
This image was taken on a sunny Autumn afternoon in Melbourne. Broken up by the shadow of overhanging leaves, the initially crisp shadow of the bike seemingly bleeds into the surrounding asphalt. The resulting image is reminiscent of stencil art; something so prolific in Melbourne’s alleyways that it has become part of our urban fabric.

I am a Melbourne based photographic artist who’s current practice is concerned with landscapes and constructed environments. My work ranges from simple observational images of the everyday, to elaborate imaginary landscapes that I construct and photograph. My first solo show will be at Off the Kerb Gallery in July 2008.
