About this Artwork

There is an obsession within my practice to single out domestic objects found in my immediate environment and paint them individually or with-in a narrative. Previously I have worked with boxes, teacups, pillows, and shoes, as well as collections of objects that show a duality and speak of the intimate spaces we inhabit, such as bedrooms and bathrooms. My paintings have a whimsical quality, a quirky undertone that is expressed through the exaggerated physicality of the objects form as well as the painted surface.
