About this Artwork
It’s important that we as humans feel connected to nature. The presence of nature in our daily lives reminds us that we are not alone and that we are sharing it with other life forms who don’t always have a say in how we treat the planet they’ve made their home for centuries. With both pieces I submitted I wanted to bring the outside world, the world away from the city, in to remind people that nature and its beauty should not be forgotten.

About Eleanor Yap
Eleanor Yap is a 22 year old graphic designer and artist based in Melbourne, Australia. Since completing her Bachelor's Degree in Visual Communication and Design at Monash University (2005) she has exhibited both nationally and internationally presenting her first solo show "Planet Earth" at Melbourne's Off the Kerb gallery. In 2007 she collaborated with fashion label Dhini and her textile designs appeared on the catwalk of Australian Fashion Week at Dhini's celebrated collection 'Song of the Drowned'.
