About this Artwork
This image belongs to a series of works that reinterpreted documentary photographs of warzones around the world in a way that makes them more representative of a military aesthestic. Stencilling and a dark ‘metallic’ palette dehumanise the subjects in the picture, and the negative space suggests that this scene can translated to one of the many zones of conflict around the world.
