About this Rooku
My main aim for my Rooku was for them to have a strong visual image and a humourous angle. My interest in Haiku and Senryu comes from studying meditation and seeing the connection between nature and our humanity. For this competition, however, I thought a lighter touch more appropriate.
About Paul Hodder
I was born in England and am 46, but look and feel much older. My haiku have been published in various magazines and online poetry sites. I am a past winner of the Shiki monthly kukai haiku competition and have upcoming work scheduled for Contemporary Haibun magazine. I live in Sanctuary Lakes with my wife and muse - my four year old daughter.
