train travellers
too tongue-tired to talk
like peace in a pod
About this Rooku
Going home by train from Flinders St. I noticed how silent it was, although the carriage was crowded. Then I realised that most commuters were tuned in to their ipods and I thought how similar they were : “like peas in a pod”. (My husband Roger deserves credit for changing tongue-tied to tongue-tired!)
